He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis E. Wells and Mary Emma Wells (Rauch); his siblings, Mary Louise Buechert, Eldo Curtis Wells, William Robert Wells and Mildred Emma Huffer; and his close friend Donna Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Sue Hauff (LeRoy), Lois Ann Alston (Jeff) and Joseph Eugene Wells (Gina); his grandchildren, Kathy Sue Hobby (Rick), Nicholus Adam Wells (Suzanne), Aubrey Maureen Pazos, Leland Wells Alston (Mary Katherine) and Ryan Wells Alston (Andrea); his great grandchildren, Justin (Savannah), McKenzie, Mackenzie, John (Alyssa), Keely, Marley, Ella, Phen, Frankie, Nico, Macy and Exa; and his great great grandchildren, Brantley and Emery. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Fred Wells to The Rucki Hospice Care Center in Zephyrhills.
