We are sad to announce that, on February 8, 2026, at the age of 80, Janet Ruth Avery of Zephyrhills, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Janet leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Janet may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale Avery and Clara Avery (Steinbarth). She is survived by: her sister Linda Potts; her niece Stephanie Whittenberg (Erik); her nephew Steven Potts (Lindsay); her great-nieces, Addyson Whittenberg of Ft Lauderdale, FL, Abbigail of Ft Lauderdale, FL and Emily Potts of Ft Lauderdale, FL; and her friend Cheri Briggs.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church or Pasco County Genealogical Society and would be appreciated.
