He was predeceased by: his parents, John Benjamin "Bennie" Morris and Claudia Jenkins "CJ" Morris; and his siblings, Grace Morris Turner, Rose Morris Riner, Franklin Morris, Bobby Morris and John "Bimbo" Morris.

He is survived by: his wife Edna Hall Morris; his children, Kim Strickland (Butch), Kelli Morris Metcalf of Wauchula and Heath Morris (Amanda) of Zolfo Springs; his grandchildren, Emily Ribeiro (Hugo) of Orlando, Kaydan Strickland, Hallie Morris of Wauchula, Justin Strickland of Okeechobee and Jacob Metcalf (Caryssa) of Wauchula; and his great grandchildren, Jordyn, Noah, Matthew Ribeiro of Orlando and CiaLynnJo Metcalf of Wauchula. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wounded Warrior Project and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
