He was predeceased by : his parents, H. E. Roberts and Reuviel Newman Roberts; his wife Diann Taylor Roberts; his son Douglas Craig Roberts, Jr.; and his brother Ronald Roberts.

He is survived by : his granddaughters, Kristina Roberts and Bridgette Roberts of Uriah, AL; his niece Dana Roberts Adkins (Bobby) of Macon; and his friend Amanda Dennard (Kevin).
