He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Brown and Mamie Sue Howell Brown; his daughter Regina Brown; and his siblings, Thelma Baldwin, Ruth Bell, Sara Warren, John Brown, Thomas "Buddy" Brown, Ted Brown and Jack Brown.

He is survived by: his wife Hazel Brown; his brother Gene Brown (Joann); his children, George Curtis Brown, Jr. (Audrey), Mark Dwayne Brown (Teena), Daniel Dwight Brown (Christina), Timothy Caleb Brown (Mandie), James Aaron Brown (Erica), Melissa McKinney (Ralph), Sandy Warren (Shelby) and Trish Widener (Rickey); and his sisters-in-law, Sis Brown and Nellie Brown. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
