He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest Holbert and Estelle Newsome Holbert; his wife Priscilla Teague Holbert; and his grandson Nick Valdez. He is survived by : his children, Jessica Holbert and Jeff Valdez; his grandson Jeffrey Valdez (Brittany); his great grandchildren, Aaliyah Marie Valdez and Evelyn Aleane-Faye Valdez; and his sisters, Fanny Kirby and Pearl Carpenter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
