Bennie Gunter Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bennie Gunter of Acworth, Georgia, who passed away on March 13, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Major Gunter and Voncile Holcombe; his brother Jerry Gunter; and his daughter Jana Lea Gunter. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Gunter (Bates); his children, Marlin Gunter (Dawn) and Joey Gunter (Kristi); his grandchildren, Jana Shook (Brett), Joshua Gunter, Andrew Gunter, Austen Gunter, Aaron Gunter and Avery Gunter; and his great grandchildren, Adreona and Braelyn Shook.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Poole Funeral Home (1970 Eagle Dr, Woodstock, GA 30189).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Leukemia Society, in Bennie's honor.
