Carman left this world on December 11, 2024 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Corda Franklin McCarty and Juanita Green McCarty; her husband Rowland "Short" Cunningham of Sherrell's Skating Rink; her brothers, Denny McCarty, Jim McCarty and Olney McCarty; and her granddaughter Lynn Shimizu-Sison.

She is survived by: her daughters, Michele Shimizu (Jeff) of Marietta, GA and Deanna Bishop (Tim) of White, GA; her grandchildren, Zack, Zane Shimizu, Carleigh and Christian Bishop; her daughter Marissa Vega Velez (Nedry) of Simpsonville, KY.; and her sister-in-law Maria McCarty.

Memorial donations in Carman's memory may be made to Newburg Christian Church, 5225 Poplar Level Rd. Louisville, KY 40219.
