With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Jenness in Acworth, Georgia, born in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on May 9, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Charles may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his wife Marolyze; his children, Janet Eason (Bill) and Michael (Cindy); his grandchildren, Ellie, Thomas, Andrew and Samuel; and his great grandchild Malcom.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mayes Ward Dobbins Historic Marietta Chapel (180 Church St, Marietta, GA 30060). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
