With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Corina Escobedo Cruz of Acworth, Georgia, born in Stamford, Connecticut, who passed away on May 8, 2026 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfredo Escobedo and Lucy Escobedo; and her husband Manuel Cruz. She is survived by: her children, Katie Zackery, Matthew Cruz, William Cruz and Emily Sanchez; her grandchildren, Jacob Cruz-Zackery, Dominic Zackery, Malachi Cruz, Callie Zackery, Wesley Zackery, Delilah Cruz, Sadie Cruz and Emmanuel Sanchez; her sisters, Evelyn Suarez, Lissette Maciaszek, Luz Velez, Myrna McEvoy, Vilma Forthingham and Shirley Escobedo; and her godson Tony Velez. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home and Chapel (907 Church Street Ext NW, Marietta, GA 30060).
