He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Tapp Sr. and Lelar Ray Tapp; his wife Fannie LueOlla Crisp Tapp; and his siblings, Evelyn Bruce and Dewey Tapp, Jr..
He is survived by: his daughter Cathy Benson (Rollan); his grandchildren, Amanda Hicks (Jonny) and Bradley Benson (Andrea); his great grandchildren, Hannah and Emory Benson; his children, Teresa Tapp and Roger Tapp; his grandchildren, Endyleen Culver and Chris Verhine (Shauna); and his great grandchildren, Summer, Tyler, Haleigh, Cameron Culver, Donvan Verhine and Israel Cochran. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Collins Funeral Home (4947 N Main St, Acworth, GA 30101). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home (4947 N Main St, Acworth, GA 30101). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at the Pine Ridge Memorial Cemetery (2950 Cobb Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, GA 30152).
