He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Vann and Myrtle Vann; his sister Joan; and his brothers-in-law, Jimmy and Jake.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Page (Bill), Davy (Karen) and Trent; his grandchildren, Hannah and Josh; and his sister Martha. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Instead of flowers, and because Jackie spent his life serving his community, the family asks that donations be made to the Cobb County Chaplain Program or the Cobb County Public Safety Fund to assist officers and their families in need.
