We bid farewell to James Odell Evans (Acworth, Georgia), born in Meridian, Mississippi, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 20, 2025 at the age of 83. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Georgia Ruth Megehee Evans and Benjamin Bryan Evans; and his wife Aline. He is survived by: his pet Gomer; his daughters, Janet Evans Turnure (Doug) and Sheila Evans Sieving (Immanuel Christian "Quad"); his grandchildren, Douglas James Turnure (DJ), Martha Annette Turnure, Stephen Turnure (Bo), Zachariah Turnure (Zac), Alleya Turnure (Allie), Grace Sieving, Immanuel Christian Sieving (Quinn), Eva Sieving and Stella Rose Sieving; his siblings, Elizabeth Evans Ford and Noel Evans (Nida); his siblings' children, Tracy Buffington, Amy Beason, Benji Evans, David Snell, Eric Snell and Mark Snell; and his godchildren, Jennifer Whitfield, Amy Poppen, Scott West and Brooklynn Baker.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Georgia Funeral Care Chapel (4671 S Main St, Acworth, GA 30101). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
