He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Lee Harper and Martha Winston; and his sisters, Mary Alice Winston and Hope Lynn Winston-Montague. He is survived by: his wife Katrina Kindall-Winston; his daughters, Choumie Charles, Jaimie Winston and Kandis Winston; his siblings, Haywood Winston (Sonya), Aisha Daniel (Alex) and Connie Winston; and his aunts and uncles, Eliza Stewart of Wendell, Betty Cooley of Smithfield, Mattie Foye of Smithfield, Jack Harper of Kenly and Roy Winston of Wendell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of friends.
