She was predeceased by : her parents, Jeff R. Smith and Era Tumlin Smith; her son Michael Atkisson; and her brothers, Ralph Smith and J. C. Smith.

She is survived by : her husband Martin Cantrell; her children, Teresa Dodd (Bob) and G. Wayne Atkisson (Kay); her sisters, Evelyn Johnson, Eleanor Stokes, Joyce Owens and Carolyn Sanders; and her grandchildren, Garrison Atkisson Jr., Cassandra Wheaton and Erika Hall. She is also survived by spouses and four great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mayes Ward-Dobbins Macland Chapel (3940 Macland Rd, Powder Springs, GA 30127). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Powder Springs Chapel of Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home (3940 Macland Rd, Powder Springs, GA 30127).
