It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Ann Sexton of Acworth, Georgia, born in Calhoun, Georgia, who passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Annie Mae Darnell of Calhoun and Herbert Darnell; her stepmother Lucille Darnell; her husband John R. Sexton; her sisters, Betty Roberts and Doreathea Caylor; and her son Jeffrey Morris Sexton.

She is survived by : her children, John R Sexton, Jr. of Acworth, David Sexton (Jill Sexton) of Toccoa, GA. and Lisa Hearn (Gregg Hearn) of Chickamauga, GA.; and her grandchildren, Jenny, Michael, Ethan, Justin, Brittney, Kelly and Will. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home (2950 Cobb Pkwy N, Kennesaw, GA 30152). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge (2950 Cobb Pkwy N, Kennesaw, GA 30152).
