She was loved and cherished by many people including: husband: Rev John C. Hendley, Sr.; parents: Joseph Bryant Cowart and Minnie Leola Akridge Cowart; son: Rev. Johnny Hendley, Jr. (Wanda); daughter-in-law: Wanda Hendley; daughters: Paula McIntyre, Sherry Young (Ricky), Amy Bostic (Dewade), and Carol Hewitt; sons-in-law: Ricky Young, Dewade Bostic, and Ronald "Cotton" Hewitt; brother: Johnny Cowart (Emily); sister-in-law: Emily Cowart, Naomi Cowart, and Joan Cowart; grandchildren: Sarah Bostic (and 12 other grandchildren); great grandchildren: 22 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home (202 N Hutchinson Ave, Adel, GA 31620). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:45 AM at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens (8879 Val Del Rd, Adel, GA 31620).
