She was predeceased by: her parents, Mitchell Duren and Eliza Luke Duren; her husband Eston S. Griffin; her son Stanley Griffin; her granddaughter Kristi Griffin; her great grandchildren, Shayla and Bree Griffin; her great great grandchild Shaylin Griffin; and her siblings, Lenton, Hobert, Rossie Duren and Velma Duren Buckholts.
She is survived by: her children, Ron Griffin (Peggy) of Chula, Freddy Griffin (Brenda) of Adel, David Griffin (Susan) of Adel, Greg Griffin (Marilyn) of Warwick and Peggy Griffin Parrish (Jeff) of Adel. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM and at 3:00 PM at the Pine Grove Baptist Church (335 Coy Hancock Rd, Lenox, GA 31637).
She spent her formative years there before embarking on a professional path that would see her make significant contributions to her community.
