Lula left this world on January 13, 2026 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Salem Thigpen and Lula Jeanette Gillis Thigpen; her husband Samuel H. Montford; her son Sandy Poole; and her siblings, Grace Gregory, Robert Thigpen, Kathleen Poole and Earlene Prickett.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanette Coursey, Maudiant Montford (Lisa) of Dublin and Nausha Harden of Glenwood; and her siblings, Billy Thigpen (Jan) of Glenwood and Betty Thigpen of East Dublin. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
