He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Padgett and Elma Padgett; and his siblings, Juanita Elizabeth Padgett, Harry Kenneth Padgett and Gregory Dale Padgett.
He is survived by: his former wife Nancy Harper; his wife Annette Stone Padgett of Alapaha; and his siblings, Gerald Ray Padgett (Linda) of Mill Spring, NC, Roberta A. Franks of Chocowinity, NC, Penelope J. Padgett (Robert Silvers) of Mill Spring, NC and Cleo P. Haley of Inman, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and four great great nieces and nephews.
