He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Gnatt Hyers and Eddie Lee Mims Hyers. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Maye Hyers of Alapaha; his children, Kara Hyers of Alapaha, Amanda Davis (Stevie) of Enigma, Jeremy Hyers (Misty) of Alapaha and Sam Hyers of Alapaha; and his siblings, Pat Thigpen of Cobbtown, Mike Hyers of Hazlehurst and Greg Hyers of Hazlehurst. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
