With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jimmie Gaskins of Alapaha, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 19, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Jimmie farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Jimmie is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parent Golie Lee Sirmans Gaskins. He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Carter (Donnie) of Alapaha; his grandchildren, Leroy "Kyle" Carter of Birmingham, AL, Jimmie "Lyle" Carter of Nashville and Alexandria Thompson (Kyle) of Alapaha; and his great grandchild Elizabeth "Ellie" Thompson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lovein Funeral Home (1218 Adel Hwy, Nashville, GA 31639). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home (1218 Adel Hwy, Nashville, GA 31639).
