He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter S. Pleasants and Margret Merk Pleasants; his daughter Monica Molinar; his brother Walter Pleasants, Jr.; and his granddaughters, Gracie and Elina Holmes.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Gail Hancock Pleasants of Alapaha; his children, Kenny Pleasants (Rachel) of Fairbanks, AK, Lisa Haynes (Reliegh) of Nashville, Erin Young (Larry) of Tifton and Brooks Bailey (Patty) of Nashville; and his son-in-law Ruben Molinar of Pahrump, NV. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
