David Lee Byars Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Lee Byars of Albany, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 1, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Byars and Haney Byars; and his sister Joy Hamby. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Bridges Byars; his children, Terri Byars Freeman, Brett of Leesburg and Paul Byars of Albany; his grandchildren, Chandler Freeman, Joyner of Athens, Cameron Freeman, Grace of Woodstock, Emmalee Freeman of Leesburg, Tatum Freeman of Leesburg, Felton Byars, Madison of Dawson, Peyton Byars and Tyler of Leesburg; and his great grandchild Harper Freeman.
A reception was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home (375 U. S. Hwy 19, Leesburg, GA 31763).
