It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Gordon Carter of Albany, Georgia, who passed away on December 4, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. Carter and Lillie Carter; his son Tony Carter; and his brothers, William H. Carter and Curtis Carter.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Headrick (Ricky) of Sylvester, Audie Carter (Charlotte) of Leesburg and Angie Carter of Sylvester; and his siblings, Thelma Carlysle of Florida, Joyce Smith of Tifton, Janice Sinquefield of Leesburg and James W. Carter of Collins. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren.
