She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur James and Willie Mae Kegler; her son John Smith Jr.; her siblings, Annie Mae Jackson and Arthur Jr.; and her aunts and uncles, Leon, William, Jim Will, Wille Kegler, Mattie Griffin, Carrie Morris and Louise Ransom.
She is survived by: her sons, Reginald Smith, James Smith, Derek Smith, William Smith and Ronnie Lee Jr.; her siblings, Eunice K. Salyer (Ozell), Samuel Kegler Sr. (Connie), Steven Kegler Sr. and Andrew Kegler Sr. (Crystal); and her aunt Louvenia Scott.
