It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Blanchard of Albany, Georgia, who passed away on May 7, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dalton J. Blanchard and Addie Bailey Blanchard; his children, Dana Morris and William Kenneth "Kenny" Blanchard; his wives, Carlene Blanchard and Barbara Jean Sawyer Blanchard; and his siblings, Austene Ladson, Louise Hatcher, Junior Blanchard, Clyde Salter, Tracey Blanchard and Faye Taylor.
He is survived by: his daughter Vivian Allegood of Albany; his stepdaughter Jodi Richardson; and his siblings, Gail Godwin of Putney, Ray Blanchard of Lee County, Charles Blanchard of Lee County and Trellie Stewart. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews.
