He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Franklin "Tinker" and Anna Katherine Lockwood Garrett; his brothers, Richard Garrett and Lindsay Garrett; his sister-in-law Ellen Garrett; and his nieces, Amanda Green Lyon, Teresa Jill Lyon Erickson and Wendy Garrett.
He is survived by: his wife Cherry Lee Kitchen Garrett of Albany, GA; his children, Peggy Lee Purvis (Cory) of Albany, GA, Paul Lee Garrett of Leesburg, GA and Paige Lee Trone (Adam) of LaGrange, GA; his grandchildren, Garrett Martel Hiers (Summer) of Albany, GA, Winfred "Freddie" McCollum, Keira Sky Trone and Isabell Grace Trone; his siblings, Leslie "Les" Garrett of High Hill, MO, Anita Garrett Finke (Kenny) of Montgomery City, MO and Kathy Garrett Anderson (Lee) of Monroe, MO; his sisters-in-law, Alice Garrett of Jonesburg, MO and Maureen Kitchen Lyon of Albany, GA; and his caregivers, Melissa Cohen and Jackie Overstreet.
