In the vast expanse of eternity, John shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, Katie Stanford Nolan (Patrick), Sara Stanford, Annie Stanford and William Stanford (Shannon); his grandchildren, Gus, Gabriel, Sloane, Grant and Nina; and his brother Bobby Stanford (Cindy). He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chastain Horse Park (4371 Powers Ferry Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30327).
