It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lula Mae Thomas (Albany, Georgia), born in Camilla, Georgia, who passed away on March 16, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie Briley-Quimbley and Joshua Thomas; her husband Barney Knight; her children, Melvin, Howard Knight, Mary Knight, Hellen Knight and Bonnie Enoch; her siblings, Lewis Grady, Ulysees, Herbert James Quimbley and Eva Annette Williams; and her son-in-law John Croft.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Lewis (Donald) of Moultrie, Subrina Dixon (Melvin) of Moultrie, Diane Molden (Melvin), Ellen Croft of Moultrie, James Alvin Knight (Mattie) and Sherman Knight (Shell) of Moultrie; her siblings, Annie Lois Burley of Camilla, Mable White (Frank) of Camilla, Emma Ruth Wimberly (Climmie) of Lithonia, Georgia, Charlie James Quimbley of Baconton, Devon Quimbley (Nancy) of Brooklyn, Edgar Quimbley (Sherri) of Griffin and Marvin Quimbley of Atlanta; and her brother-in-law Freddie Williams. She is also survived by twenty-nine grandchildren, and a host of great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
