He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaynelle Burns (Styles) and Marvin S. Burns Sr.; and his spouse Joaneva Coleman Burns (Joannie) of Albany, Georgia.. He is survived by: his children, Sherie Evans (Ricky), Terri Harris (Wesley), Chris Burns (Sheryl) and Darian Burns (Edith); his stepdaughter Marleen Cortez; his grandchildren, Rachel Evans, Levi Evans, Heidi Hicks, Travis Harris, Tim Harris, Abby Harrison, Mindy Burns, Tandy Knight, Jonathan Burns, Matthew Burns and Micah Burns; and his siblings, Shirley Boyd, Jo Kelley, Hilda Clark and Roger Burns (Ann). He is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren.
