She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius C. Griffin and Sarah Bell James; her husband Albert Hicks, Sr.; her children, Gregory J. Hicks, Timeta L. Hicks and Ida B. Hicks; her grandson Curtis L. Amos; and her daughter-in-law Shanika Hicks.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Bell Hicks of Albany, Georgia, Albritten', Sarah Griffin, Marie Clay (Curtis), Albert Hicks (Brenda), Rayfield Hicks (Tammi), Terry Hicks (NaReema) and Frederick Hicks; her children-in-law, Jennifer Polk Hicks and Willie C. Amos; her sister Lilly Lumpkins; and her close friend Emma Amos. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many sorrowing friends.
