She was predeceased by: her parents, Hezekiah Dowdy and Mattie Lee Leverett Dowdy. She is survived by: her husband Elmo Taylor Israel; her children, Patricia Ann Owens of Albany and Steve Owens (Sandy) of Albany; her grandchildren, Michael Bryant of Atlanta and Cyndi Ragsdale of Leesburg; her great grandchildren, Andrew Ragsdale and Ashley Cason; her great great grandchildren, Tucker and Caroline; and her sisters, Louise Blackaby and Darlene Tillman. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
