With sadness, we share the passing of Sylvia Thompson of Albany, Georgia. Sylvia, born on October 30, 1942, passed away on September 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Oliver Carden and Cora Lee Folds Carden; her husband Joe Thompson; her children, John Alan Hollis, Richard Michael Hollis and Sylvia Diane Hollis; and her grandson Robert "Robbie" Allen.
She is survived by: her daughter Tracy Curry (JT); her grandchildren, Joshua Webb, Christopher Webb, James Fore (Erica), Lane Curry and Kristen Drinkard (Frank); her great grandchildren, CJ Webb, Caleb Webb, Carlea Webb, Maddison Harris, Kasien Ezell and Kenzleigh Drinkard; and her siblings, June Johnson of Leesburg, GA and William Carden Jr. of Pahokee, FL. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hall & Hall Funeral Home (324 S Mock Rd, Albany, GA 31705). A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
