She was predeceased by: her parents, John Daniel McLemore and Linnie Streat McLemore; and her siblings, Tony, Billy, Eldridge McLemore and Mary Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband Noah Melvin Carter; her children, Melvin, Mark Carter, Marie Mathis (Brad) of Tucson, AZ, Marsha Waters (Eddie) of Toccoa, GA and Pearlie Ellis of Alma; her sister Judy Williams of Alma; and her sister-in-law Charlene McLemore. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
