It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles William Thrift Sr. of Alma, Georgia, who passed away on October 2, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father John Riley Thrift; his wife Melba Jean Sellers Thrift; and his brother James Carroll Thrift. He is survived by : his sons, Johnny R. Thrift of Alma, Charles Thrift, Jr. of Douglas and Tony C. Thrift of Jesup; his siblings, James Casper Thrift (Nancy) of Hoboken, Edward Ray Thrift of Pierce County and Dorthea Nell Hodge (Ronnie) of Cantonment, FL; and his sister-in-law Mamie Sellers of Waycross. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
