She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Douglas and Mattie Lucille Abercrombie Douglas; her husband James Hubert Cothern; and her sister Mary Lucille Douglas Holt. She is survived by: her children, Reese Cothern (Tiffany) of Alma, Bert Cothern (Lori) of Greenwood, SC and Beth Judy of Atlantic Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Kristy Jennings (Jeff) and Cassy Tuten (Trey); her sisters, Linda Gager of St. Augustine, FL, Ruth Kato of Port Orange, FL and Demaris Hutto (Jack) of Alma; and her great-nephew Gabriel Katzenbach of Alma. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and several close friends.
