He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Cleveland and Edna Nixon Cleveland; his wife Sherry Howard Cleveland; and his daughter Elizabeth Kate "Katie" Cleveland. He is survived by: his daughter Meg; his son-in-law Bubba Thompson of Alma; his sister Vicki; his brother-in-law Roy Morgan of Hartwell; and his granddaughters, Asher and Avery of Alma.
