He was predeceased by : his wife Vina Garrett Edwards; his parents, Columbus Edwards and Edna Peacock Edwards; his adoptive father Henry Silcox of Jacksonville Beach; his siblings, Jackie Edwards and Joyce Lee; and his granddaughter Makayla Beverley.

He is survived by : his adoptive mother Florence "Mimi" Silcox of Jacksonville Beach; his children, David Edwards (Sonya), Daniel Edwards (Sandy) and Debra Beverley (Bill); his grandchildren, Kyle Edwards, Kimberly Edwards McLean (Dylan), Amber Edwards McDonald (Patrick), Dalton Edwards (Lana), Will Beverley (Fiance' Renee) and Leanna Beverley (Jacob); and his great grandchildren, Zepplin McDonald, Adalyn Edwards, Jase Edwards, Mollie Gale Edwards and Emma Grace Edwards.
