With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Maria P. Gonzalez (Alma, Georgia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Maria left this world on June 24, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mariano Vazquez Zuniga and Tereza Barron Duque; and her sister Ancleto Barron. She is survived by: her husband Santiago Gonzalez; her children, Tony, Miguel, Hector, Vicente, Santiago, Gerardo Gonzalez, Maria Elena, Martha Gonzalez and Bertha Gonzalez; and her siblings, Agustin Vazquez Barron, Ramon Vazquez Barron and Tiburcia Vazquez Barron. She is also survived by thirty-four grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Crosby Funeral Home Inc (207 W 12th St, Alma, GA 31510). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Francise of Rome Catholic Church.
