She was predeceased by: her parents, John D. Brogdon and Gertie Moore Brogdon; her husband Charles H. "Nig" Wheeler; her daughter Dr. Joan Wheeler; and her brother Roy Brogdon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Tanner (John), Linda Harrell (Bill) and June Brockington. She is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
