With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nelda Harnage of Alma, Georgia, born in Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on June 1, 2022 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her grandson Brady E. Harnage; and her brothers, Elton Gary Simmons and Carroll Ray Simmons. She is survived by : her sons, Brandyn E. Harnage, Benjie E. and Brian E. Harnage; her grandchildren, Brandyn E. Harnage Jr., Amanda Nicole Harnage Walsh and Hayden L. Harnage; her daughter-in-law Marie Harnage; her sisters, Linda Jo Krabbe (Fred) and Sherry Kubac (Alan); her sisters-in-law, Francis Simmons and Eileen Simmons; and her close friends, Nancy Batten, Buddy and Renee Allmond. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family asks everyone to dress "summer casual" for the service, and — instead of flowers — hopes donations will be made to either the Bacon County Hospital Foundation, or Alma United Methodist Church in her memory.

“To the Family of Nell: i was raised in Wesconnett, FL., and your lovely mom was a member of the Church I attended (Wesconnett Baptist). Her dad was my sunday school teacher. Nelda was a typical horse back riding girl and I watched as she and Buck became one. They moved to Alma and have relatives there as well. Nell was a sweet person and I am sure that you were indoctrinated with that sweet spirit. Enjoy the memories and know that you will meet again. Larry Perry”
