He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Boatright (Dink) and Bertha Ray Boatright; and his siblings, Alton Boatright, Jr., Kenneth Boatright, Sammy Boatright and Shirley McClure.

He is survived by: his wife Joy Britt Boatrigt of Alma, GA.; his daughter Patti Boatright Fort (Clint); his grandsons, Evan and Jacob Fort of Brunswick, GA.; his sisters, Charlotte Conner (David) of Jesup, GA., Joyce Cason (Ervin) of Alma, GA. and Diane King (Jerry) of Mershon, GA.; and his siblings-in-law, Buster and Cona Meeks of Alma, GA..
