It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sadie Smart of Alma, Georgia, born in Appling, Georgia, who passed away on September 16, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Tobin Jeffcoat and Sallie Hand Jeffcoat; her husband Sam Smart; her siblings, Carlton Jeffcoat, Willie Franklin Jeffcoat, Troy Jeffcoat, Maude Lee Woods Richardson and Ludine Brantley; her daughter-in-law Frances Smart; and her brother-in-law Bill Simmons.
She is survived by : her children, Randy C. Smart and Sharon Smart of Alma; her adoptive daughter Patricia Scott (Daniel) of Waycross; her grandson Justin C. Smart (Kayla) of Waycross; her sister Lillian Simmons of Baxley; and her pets, Lou and Maggie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
