He was predeceased by: his father William Thomas Hersey; and his siblings, Tommy Hersey and Donna Smith. He is survived by: his mother Mildred Butts Hersey of Alma; his sister J. C. Waters of Nicholls; his sister-in-law Denise Brogan of Mt. Washington; and his close friends, Kay and Allen Graham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
