He was predeceased by: his son Melvin Robert Richards Jr. (Bobby); and his significant other Geraldine Richards (Duncan). He is survived by: his children, Dianne English (Michael) of Roxboro, Danny Richards (Jan) of Talking Rock and Ricky Richards (Emily) of Canton; his grandsons, Brian English (Melissa) of Roxboro, Chad Richards (Jamie) of Jasper, John English (Lisa Bridges), Casey Richards (Amy) of Ellijay, Kyle Richards (Deanne) of Ashburn and Sam Richards (Candace) of Cumming; his great grandchildren, Cassidy Richards, Wyatt Richards, Eli Richards, Judd Richards, Callie Richards, Barrett Richards, Jase Richards, Kinslee Richards and Everly Richards; and his caregivers, Renee Freeman, Linda Tanner and Tina Durham of Senior Helpers.
