He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Maureen Black Adams and Thomas Paul "Rudy" Adams; his sister Gail Adams Pollock; and his daughter Susan Elaine Adams. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Modisett; his daughters, Sandy Adams and Holly Bentley; his son-in-law Matthew Bentley; his grandchildren, Branden Delucia, Elizabeth Bodenhamer and Jordanna Crump; and his great grandchildren, Alexis, Kallie, Charlye and Ashlynn. He is also survived by four great-great- grandsons, along with many other family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiply Initiative at First Baptist Church of Alpharetta.
