He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Edwin "Ed" Boland and Helen Robinson Boland; and his sister Dorothy Susan Boland. He is survived by: his wife Beth Ann Campbell Boland; his daughter Susan Boland Butts (Don); his grandchildren, Samuel H. Butts, Sarah E. Boland and Thomas "Tommy" Edwin Boland, III; and his brothers, Daniel W. Boland and Fred N. Boland.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Johns Creek Baptist Church Facilities Endowment Fund, The Thomas E. and Beth Ann Boland Endowed Scholarship Fund at McAfee School of Theology, Mercer University, or to The Thomas E. and Beth Ann Boland Endowed Scholarship at Candler School of Theology, Emory University.
