She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Grier and Belle Armour Grier; and her siblings, Dorothy Ward, Alvin, Jr., Otis "Preach", Bud, Van, Garnett, Wiley, Lemuel and Roy Grier.
She is survived by: her siblings, Ruth Swann and E. D. Grier (Cathy); her nieces, Pat Sullens and Karen Tomlin; her caregiver Lauren Burgess; and her close friends, Pete Burgess and Shirley King. She is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
