With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Glenn Milton Porter of Alto, Georgia, who passed away on May 20, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Glenn Rufus Porter and Louise Coker Porter; and his siblings, Virginia Mangrum, Ronnie Porter and Alfred Porter.

He is survived by : his wife Nellie Jones Porter of Alto; his son Terry; his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Porter of Cornelia; his daughter Sandy Porter of Alto; his grandchildren, Claire Dean and Sarah Daniels; and his siblings, Teresa Johnson of Oregon, Joyce Nicks of Gainesville, Paul Porter of Gainesville and Frankie Porter of Gainesville. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Whitfield Funeral Home and Crematory- South Chapel (1370 Industrial Blvd, Baldwin, GA 30511). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery (530 Yonah Post Rd, Alto, GA 30510).
